In his novel, “Revolution”, Aaron Aalborg tells of the desires and drives of the young, to seek reform of corrupt institutions and to deliver social justice for all. He describes the revolutionary zeal of a group of earnest students during the 1960s. Like many others, they each pursue successful careers. Some would say that they sell out, others that they became realistic and practical. They each become significant members of the establishment and elites that they secretly despise. They are rich, successful and well connected.

The twist is that they remain in touch and when they retire and conclude that they were right all along, to seek the overthrow of the state. They use their accumulated knowledge, life skills and positions to foment revolution.

This is a cathartic must read for all those grumpy baby boomers, who like to rant and rail against  the ills of the world and politicians on the TV.
